China Exported 1.14 Million Tons of Medical Masks In the First Eight Months of 2020!

In the face of the rebound of the epidemic, the demand for medical masks, disinfection supplies, and cleaning supplies is rising, and perhaps another boom in the export of anti-epidemic materials such as medical masks for sale will usher in.

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs of China, from January to August 2020, China exported approximately 1.1405 million tons of medical masks to approximately 200 countries/regions, or approximately 114.052 billion (1 mask is estimated at 10 grams, the same later), compared with the same period last year. An increase of 97.73% over the same period last year, it can circle the earth 36 times. Among them, the United States imported 382,400 tons of Chinese medical masks (approximately 38.235 billion), ranking first. On average, every American bought 100 Chinese masks. EU countries imported 323,600 tons of Chinese masks (approximately 32.362 billion pieces) from January to August, ranking second after the United States. The largest importer in the EU is Germany, with 65,400 tons (about 6.54 billion). Among the countries/regions that imported Chinese masks this time, the countries along the Belt and Road are ranked third, with a total of 164,500 tons, or about 16.446 billion masks. Among the countries along the route, except the UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the remaining 63 countries all imported medical masks from my country, an increase of 124% year-on-year. Judging from the monthly export situation in August 2020, the countries along the route that imported the most masks from my country are Malaysia (4,900 tons, or about 494 million), Russia (3,400 tons, or about 342 million), Philippines (2,600 tons, or about 257 million), Poland (1,700 tons, or about 170 million), Singapore (1,400 tons, or about 142 million).

The global epidemic rebounded twice, and many countries such as Italy and the Netherlands re-issued mask orders, which may usher in the second wave of medical mask exports.
